ROPES Load Validation

ROPES Load Validation compares declared shipment quantities with physically feasible container loads to classify outcomes as Risk, Opportunity or Pass.

ROPES is typically used during order finalization and pre-booking to detect infeasible shipment declarations before logistics commitments are made.

The analysis is based strictly on container dimensions, payload limits, and packing constraints. ROPES validates physical feasibility — it does not infer commercial intent or recommend actions.

ROPES classifies declared shipments into the following feasibility outcomes:

  • Risk — declared cargo exceeds feasible optimal allocation, resulting in unplanned volume or weight with a visible shut-out risk.
  • OpportunityOpportunity — optimized container load plans reveal available capacity, allowing additional cargo to be accommodated without increasing containers, resulting in higher turnover and reduced cost per SKU.
  • Pass — declared quantities are aligned with feasible optimal allocation.
  • Extreme Opportunity / *Opportunity — declared cargo is significantly below the capacity of declared containers, reflecting substantial scope for additional quantities as suggested in the feasible load plan.
  • Extreme Risk / *Risk — declared cargo is significantly above the capacity of declared containers, limiting the quantities that can be accommodated in the feasible load plan.
Extreme outcomes may reflect erroneous inputs or discovery scenarios rather than normal optimization, and are therefore reported separately.

Below is a live view of how ROPES classifies declared shipments based on physical feasibility.
* indicates extreme deviation from feasible optimal allocation (discovery scenarios).
